Jika ia digunakan sebagai warna penutup (PAINTED), urutan salutan mesti diulang 2-3 kali, dan salutan cat tebal dan tidak mudah kering.
Terdapat juga salutan UV, kelebihannya ialah garis salutan lebih pendek, kerana kelajuan pengeringan UV lebih cepat, tetapi cat lebih mahal.
